Hello fellow bitcoiners. I’m not sure how many of you have a Casa bitcoin lightning node, but I have good news for those of you that do, and for those of you that do not it’s another reason to get one. If you want to support the Lightning network (the scaling solution for bitcoin) and help it grow and actually use the Lightning network at the same time the Casa Node is a great little box. The Casa node is essentially a Rapberry Pi 3 with a 1 TB HD built-in that runs a full bitcoin core node and a lightning network daemon with a very pretty and functional user interface slapped on top. It is very user friendly and one day I am going to make a full review of it here on this blog. I have one myself and I love it.
The good news is that Casa Node creators just released a browser extension that you can use to control both the Lightning and the Bitcoin node running on the Casa Node. So you can send/receive Bitcoin and Lightning network payment all from the comfort of your browser! Very neat!
